Introduction...

Hi - my name is Andy and I'm the webmaster for this site. I suffered from gigantism as a child. My pituitary gland was removed at the age of 11 (in 1981), and I've been taking medication ever since. (I'm now 38...)

As a result I've decided to publish my experiences about the illness on this website, which will hopefully help others in similar situations. I've tried to keep things as simple as possible...

One of the main reasons I've published this site is because I get the impression most pituitary patients have to deal with major problems on a day to to day basis. Yet, as a person who has had to go through puberty and adulthood without a pituitary gland, I lead a very good quality of life and I just wanted to offer some hope to those with pituitary problems.

So thanks for visiting the site - I hope you find it useful.

Let me know if I can help in anyway or how I can improve the site.

Best regards,

Andy
